The Context of Success
The parents we work with fully recognise the substantial opportunities their success can provide for their children. However, we have yet to encounter a family whose teenager or young adult hasn't experienced difficulties, in at least one of the following areas:
- Forming their identity
- Cultivating motivation and purpose
- Distinguishing between net-worth and self-worth
- Navigating social environments that judge them based on their family name or what they have, rather than their true selves
- Feeling great pressure to meet real or perceived expectations
- Addressing feelings of loneliness and isolation
- Overcoming the guilt and shame attached to privilege
- Managing reputation during the natural formative years of boundary-testing
- Challenging imposter syndrome and self-doubt
